The soundtrack, a prelude.
Litecoin Chronicles is an old-school fantasy MMORPG starring Chikun the chicken knight, the Shiba-kin and the Litefolk. This is an early look at the soundtrack for a game in development: old-school fantasy MMORPG orchestral, from the title theme to the final boss. Hear the world before you set foot in it.
The journey
Six places, one road.
The chapters run in the order a new adventurer meets them. Every take is its own performance, so pick any one to start there and the prelude plays on from it.

The title screen
Chronicles of the Silver Coin
The first thing you hear when the gates open. A lone horn, harp and strings rise into full orchestra and choir, and in the sung takes, a ballad of the silver coin.
Lyrics: the ballad
VerseBefore the forges, before the crown
A silver light came drifting down
It asked no king and kept no throne
It passed from hand to open hand alonePre ChorusThe hollow wakes, the old woods call
One silver coin to bind us allChorusRise, the chronicles begin
Light of silver, fire within
From the Hollow to the Hashwood deep
We carry promises we keep
Rise, and write your name in light
Silver blade against the nightVerseA feathered knight with a blade of flame
A loyal hound who knows your name
The road is long, the night is cold
But silver shines where hearts are boldChorusRise, the chronicles begin
Light of silver, fire within
From the Hollow to the Hashwood deep
We carry promises we keep
Rise, and write your name in light
Silver blade against the nightBridgeEvery block a stone we lay
Every dawn a brighter dayOutroThe chronicles begin

The starting village
Hearth of the Hollow
Market-day folk for the town where every adventure starts: tin whistle, fiddle and a cheeky bassoon, plus a tavern singalong the whole Hollow knows by heart.
Lyrics: the tavern song
VerseOh the fees are low in the Hollow, friend
And the blocks come quick round the bend
Two minutes and a half and the bell will ring
And every hen in the yard will singChorusSo raise your mug to the silver coin
Come on, neighbour, won't you join
Gold is heavy and gold is slow
But silver's quick wherever you go
Hey ho, the Hollow, hoVerseThe Chikun wears his spectacles
His comb is red, his wings are full
He swings a blade of shining light
And still he's home for supper every nightChorusSo raise your mug to the silver coin
Come on, neighbour, won't you join
Gold is heavy and gold is slow
But silver's quick wherever you go
Hey ho, the Hollow, hoBridgeThe shibas bark, the miners hum
Another halving's sure to comeOutroHey ho, the Hollow, ho

The open fields
Scrypt Hollow
A sunlit valley under a big sky. Oboe and flute over warm strings and harp: the sound of setting out on a long road.
-
The ancient forest
Hashwood
Tall dark trees, shafts of light and old magic. Low strings, a harp that never stops turning, and runes that glow in the celesta.
-
Beneath the earth
The Deep Mines
Abandoned mines far below the Hollow. Droning basses, drums echoing through the cavern, and something humming in the dark.
-
The final battle
The Liquidation
The Pump Dump Twins, the Gas Guzzler Golem and the one who liquidates them all. Pounding drums, blasting brass and a choir that will not let you sell.
Lyrics: the battle choir
VerseLiquidate, liquidate
All will fall, all will break
Candles red, the market bleeds
He feeds on every hand that needsChorusPump, then dump, the twins are here
The golem burns the gas of fear
Stand, hold, and do not sell
Ring the silver battle bellBuild UpHold, hold, hold, hold
ChorusPump, then dump, the twins are here
The golem burns the gas of fear
Stand, hold, and do not sell
Ring the silver battle bellOutroLiquidate
